Christopher Agnew is an Episcopal priest and historian. He holds a Ph.D. in history and, prior to ordination, was a college history professor. He is a former President of the National Episcopal Historians and Archivists. His theological degree is from the General Theological Seminary. He has served on the staff of the Presiding Bishop and in parishes in Delaware, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Much of his ministry has been in the field of ecumenical relations.
Dr. Agnew and his wife Elizabeth enjoy genealogy and are active in the field of historic preservation. He occasionally offers courses with the Rappahannock Life Long Learning program. They also enjoy travel and time spent with their children and grandchildren.
